The MAB Foundation will hold their annual Great Lakes Broadcasting Conference (GLBC) Career Fair on Tuesday, May 3 in Lansing. Participating in this fair gives you and your station(s)/media company the unique and valuable opportunity to reach out and educate the future of our industry, network with other media professionals, support the programs of the MAB Foundation and receive possible EEO credits.
GLBC sees hundreds of excited students and young professionals eager to meet with you! All station participants will receive official acknowledgement letters to be placed in their station’s EEO files. Take care of your EEO file and be prepared for possible EEO audits by registering to participate in this fair today!

WBFH-FM’s (Bloomfield Hills High School) General Manager, Pete Bowers, was recently featured on WXYZ-TV in Detroit for a piece called “Ann Marie’s All-Stars.”
Bowers is serving his second term on the MAB Foundation Board of Directors and was the Chair for the 2014 Broadcasting Career Builder Conference (BCBC) Committee. Watch the video at WXYZ-TV here.
WBFH has won the MABF High School Station of the Year nine times.
The MAB Foundation has extended the deadline for both the MABF station-sponsored scholarhips and the MAB Foundation Board Scholarship (Friends of Bill Burton Scholarship). The application deadline for those scholarships is now Friday, March 25, 2016.

Each year the MABF awards over 30 scholarships to deserving students in Michigan who are planning to pursue a career in broadcasting and media. If you have a deserving student who attends a qualified institution, be sure to get their application in by February 26. Find the list of schools here.
NEW!! The MABF Board is now offering one competitive scholarship open to any student in Michigan. Each year, applicants not receiving another MAB Foundation scholarship may apply for one competitive scholarship with the MAB Foundation. The Education and Scholarship Committee will serve as the voting committee using the pre-determined rating system and will present the MAB Foundation Board with their top candidate for ratification. The award will be presented at the Great Lakes Broadcasting Conference & EXPO (GLBC) on May 3, 2016 at the Lansing Center.
