Jeff Cohen is the newsnet® Key Account Managera t IMT Vislink. He will offer insights into “Using Bi-directional IP Networks to Access Studio Systems from The Field.”  Traditional microwave Electronic News Gathering (ENG) provides high bandwidth, high quality transmission with low latency, while using secure dedicated BAS spectrum. The past few years have seen a shift in video technology toward acceptance, and adoption, of IP-based links into ENG workflows.

Experience “Adventures in TV Channel Repacking: The Michigan Perspective and Nationwide Experience, To Date” with Karl Lahm, Founder of Broadcast Transmission Services LLC. He retired in June 2018 from 19 years with Univision, where he was the Director, RF Systems Engineering, for the company’s local TV and radio stations. He led the Univision stations’ conversion to digital transmission, selection of final digital channels, and the build‐out of most digital transmitting facilities in service today.
