Former Michigan Programmer Chris Reynolds Passes

chrisreynolds_275The MAB is sad to announce the passing of radio programmer/air talent Chris Reynolds (Steed), who passed away early this past Sunday morning (10/30) in Lubbock, Texas.

Reynolds had recently joined Townsquare Media in Lubbock as Operations Manager for the company’s 6-station cluster.

He is best known in Michigan for his two tenures at WFMK-FM (Lansing), serving as air talent/music director from 1984-1987 and back again as program director/air talent from 2001 to 2008.

Over the course of his career, Reynolds also worked in Michigan, programming and/or on-air at WNIC-FM (Detroit), WGER-FM (Saginaw), WMJT-FM (Saginaw), WTWR-FM (Monroe-Toledo) and WJIM-FM (Lansing).

Outside of Michigan, Reynolds programmed stations in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, Texas; Springfield, Illinois, Huntington, West Virginia and Duncan, Oklahoma.

Reynolds also attended both  Henry Ford College and Specs Howard School of Media Arts.
